A useful EV charger quotation starts with a clear buying brief. Before comparing unit prices, define the product, intended market and support requirements you want suppliers to quote. This checklist helps distributors and project buyers ask consistent questions and compare proposals on the same basis.
1. Define the market and intended use
Specify where the product will be sold and how customers expect to use it. A home charging range, a travel-oriented product and a project installation may require different configurations and documentation. Describe the buyer profile and sales channel as well as the destination country.
2. Prepare a configuration checklist
- Product type and intended application.
- Required connector and supply-side plug or connection arrangement.
- Input requirements, output rating and current settings to be confirmed.
- Cable length, mounting accessories and packaging contents.
- Display, access control or connectivity requirements, where relevant.
Ask the supplier to identify the exact model and configuration covered by each quotation. A feature shown in a product family brochure may be optional or limited to certain versions.
3. Request documents for the quoted model
Request a current specification sheet, user instructions, product labels and any relevant test reports or certificates. Check that the model identifiers and scope match the proposed product. For market-specific acceptance and installation requirements, have the documentation reviewed by a qualified local specialist.
4. Agree on sample evaluation
Define what you need to inspect before a bulk order: appearance, cable and accessory details, packaging, labeling and the agreed operating functions. Record the approved configuration and any requested changes so the sample and production order can be compared. Electrical checks should be performed by qualified personnel using suitable procedures.
5. Compare the full commercial proposal
- Sample quantity and cost, and the minimum order quantity for the selected configuration.
- Unit price, customization charges and what the quotation includes.
- Production timing, shipping terms and payment milestones.
- Warranty terms, fault-reporting steps and after-sales responsibilities.
Do not assume that one supplier’s quoted price includes the same accessories, packaging or support as another’s. Put these items into a simple comparison table.
Your enquiry, ready to send
Prepare one brief containing: destination market; product type; required configuration; estimated order quantity; branding needs; requested documents; and target delivery date. Mark unknown items as “to be discussed” so the supplier can help resolve them instead of quoting against an incorrect assumption.
Discuss your sourcing requirements
Explore SHINEYOU charging products, then send a sourcing enquiry with your target market, preferred product type and estimated quantity. Confirm available configurations and commercial terms for your project before ordering.
